Pastor Sam and Cherry: Loving Life Together and Enjoying Retirement Pastor Sam, who worked in God’s vineyard for over 22 years, and Cherry, who taught for over 31 years, now find themselves spreading their wings and really enjoying life in Bremerton, Washington.
While Pastor Sam served as Shepherd of the Mt. Zion Church and Cherry taught at Olympic High School, they both cherish their memories of fulfilling and nurturing the needs of the young and old in the spiritual arena and the educational field.
Retirement has added a new circle of friends and activities. They now belong to the “Senior Pool’s Pals and Gym Club” at Bangor, Washington. With free time on their side, they now travel, visit family and friends more. Due to the blessing of being retired, they were given the opportunity attend President Obama’s Inauguration in Washington, D.C.
Each day, as they live in “God’s Little Green Acre”, meaning Kitsap County, they are grateful and thankful for being surrounded by the natural beauty that our Creator has made for His people. What a blessing, a gift, to live in an area where you can enjoy water, mountains, and trees all at the same time-with no cost!
