“The goals of KCEPC dove-tail our own.” said Jason Parker, President of Parker Financial LLC. “It has always been our desire to work cooperatively with other professionals in our area to offer complete retirement packages for our clients including not only the services we offer as a Financial Planners but also those of local Estate Planning Attorneys and CPAs.”
The mission of the Estate Planning Council is to promote intelligent estate planning, an understanding of the areas of cooperation between professions, and the interest of members and the general public.
Membership in the Estate Planning Council is limited to professionals involved in estate planning with a minimum of 5 years experience in one of the following fields:
- Chartered life insurance underwriter;
- Chartered financial consultant or certified financial planner;
- Attorney at law;
- Certified public accountant;
- Representatives of trust companies or banks maintaining and operating trust departments; and
- Other professionals--At large members*
*At large members are individuals who are ineligible for membership by reason of a professional vocation not listed in categories 1 through 5 above, but who have been actively engaged in the field of estate planning for at least 5 years.

Heather Hughes of Parker Financial receives her Washington State Insurance License - 08/07/09Heather Hughes recently received her Washington State Life & Disability Insurance License. In order to become a licensed insurance producer in Washington State, a State approved pre-licensing class must be taken covering 20 hours of life insurance and 20 hours of disability insurance. The applicant must then pass a State certified exam.
“We are very excited that Heather has taken this step in getting her producer license,” said Jason Parker, President of Parker Financial LLC. “This will further equip her to provide outstanding customer service to our clients and provide her with the means for future advancements within the company.”

Jason Parker receives Certified Retirement Financial Advisor designation - 06/26/09Jason Parker recently received his Certified Retirement Financial Advisor (CRFA™) designation.
“My firm has always been focused on meeting the needs of retirees, but I wanted to be able to give even more to my clients and the CRFA progam helps me do that,” said Jason Parker, President of Parker Financial LLC. “I feel it’s important to continue my education in order to best serve my clients and our community.”
The Society of Certified Retirement Financial Advisors awards the CRFA™ designation. CRFA graduates are generally experienced financial planners who desire to get a focused education in financial issues of special concern to retirees. This is the only designation focused on financial issues facing retirees. CRFAs complete a four-day program, pass a closed book final exam and must obtain 15 hours of continuing education annually.

Redesigned Parker Financial Website Highlights Clients - 03/18/09Sam and Cherry, long-time community members, were the first to add their profile to Parker Financial’s new website at www.parker-financial.net.
“Our website needed an upgrade, and I wanted something that highlighted our clients and their unique stories,” said Jason Parker, President of Parker Financial LLC in Silverdale, Wash.
Sam served as Pastor at Mt. Zion Church, and Cherry taught at Olympic High School before retiring. Now they both enjoy traveling, visiting family and friends and appreciating the great Pacific Northwest.
